[What you will be working on:]
- Develop strategies and frameworks for transfer and preservation of AV records
- Work with copyright owners such as public agencies, private producers and broadcasters to operationalise the transfers of AV records to NAS (e.g. troubleshoot problems, arrange logistics, address queries)
- Engage with stakeholders across NLB and external stakeholders on collaborative projects relating to AV preservation and exploration of technology to facilitate access.
- Project manage multi-year tender on digitisation of AV records; including planning for record preparation support for digitisation/digital preservation of audiovisual (AV) records by retrieval, filing and transfer of AV records; facilitating technical inspection; and improving and updating metadata of AV records in archival management system.
- Lead in the metadata documentation in department’s database; lead/co-lead database feature enhancements, improvements and revamp projects; and represent AVA in metadata improvement initiatives helmed by other departments and divisions.
- Liaise with vendors, temporary staff and volunteers supporting digitisation and documentation projects through task assignment, monitoring deliverables, training, and performance review.
- Explore new technologies for greater user experience in provision of access on AV records.
- Preferably 2-5 years of experience in digital collection, digital records management or digitisation. Applicant with project management experience will be an advantage.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to exercise sound judgement.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate and engage internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable dealing with uncertainty while embracing new challenges and working in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
