Shreve Memorial Library is participating with the American Library Association and libraries nationwide to celebrate Banned Books Week, running until September 28. This week highlights both current and historical efforts to censor books in libraries and schools, uniting the literary community in a collective defense of the freedom to explore and express ideas, including those that may be deemed unconventional or unpopular, according to the library.
