The Namsai district library hosted a program on library awareness themed “How a Library Can Shape a Student’s Career” this past Sunday.

 During the event, Namsai Deputy Commissioner CR Khampa highlighted the library's journey and praised its services for local students and youth. Retired DC Tape Bagra urged students to utilize the fully automated library to enhance their knowledge and skills for future challenges.



Padma Shri awardee Sathyanarayanan Mundayoor encouraged students to develop a reading habit. Dr. TS Kumbar, Chief Librarian at an IIT in Gujarat, expressed admiration for the library's diverse activities and advanced management system.

Professor Rashmi Kumbar from a Gujarat-based Central University shared her insights on fostering reading habits from a young age, while Namsai ZPC Urmila Manchekhun advised students to make the most of the library's resources, stating, “Only books help to build up a student’s bright career.”

The program was also attended by district BJP president Sujana Namchoom, government officials, public leaders, and educationists from the area. (DIPRO)
