San Diego officials celebrated the opening of the long-anticipated $28 million green library in Pacific Highlands Ranch on Saturday. This marks the first new branch to open in the city in the past five years.
Situated next to two schools and a shopping center, the 18,000-square-foot library offers more than just books. It features a state-of-the-art "IDEA Lab," computer stations, a catering kitchen, and event spaces, all connected to an outdoor courtyard with climbing mounds.
