Sections of Urbana Regional Library will undergo renovations starting August 5th, leading to temporary closures for several weeks. According to Darrel Buchanan, Head of the county's Facility Maintenance Department, the project includes replacing the main flooring, applying fresh paint to the walls, and upgrading all fluorescent lighting to LED fixtures. The renovations are scheduled to be completed in three stages by October 14th.
Frederick County Public Libraries informed patrons about the timeline through an email, as mentioned by Kelly Cambrel, Communications Team Manager. Each phase of the renovation is expected to take approximately three to four weeks.
