The Valentine Public Library is considering expanding its services after receiving a $10,000 donation from the Sandhills Area Foundation, distributed through the Wilson-Taylor endowment.
Carolyn Moore, Executive Director of the Sandhills Area Foundation, emphasized the library's importance, saying, “The library is the cornerstone of our community. It’s a community gathering place. I can’t imagine life in Valentine without the library.”
Library Director Carrie Graham mentioned that there are no definite plans yet for the funds, but she is interested in expanding programming. “We are currently budgeting for next year, so the timing is perfect. It allows us to start dreaming,” Graham said.
